Support from Opposition for Modi's Visit
During PM Modi's visit to Manipur, CPI(M) MP John Brittas expressed support for the initiative. He stated that opposition parties have long advocated for the Prime Minister to lead a delegation of all parties to Manipur to restore peace and harmony in the state. Speaking to a news agency, he noted that for the past two years, Modi had not been receptive to their requests, including calls for a full discussion in Parliament. While he acknowledged that it may be too late, he still supports the visit, hoping it will unite various organizations and foster trust and confidence.
